Defense exercise Lowlands 2021-1 Twente Airport

The Ministry of Defense will practice at and from Twente Airport in weeks 9 and 10 of 2021. Among other things, a Skyvan will be flown until 23:00h local time at the latest.

From Friday, March 5 until Thursday, March 11, 2021, the exercise Lowland 2021-1 will take place at and from Twente Airport. During this exercise there will be flights both during the day and later in the evening with a Skyvan among others. These flight movements necessary for the exercise will last until 23:00h local time at the latest. Preventing noise nuisance will be taken into account as much as possible.

On behalf of this exercise, a Hercules C130 of the Dutch Air Force landed twice at Twente Airport on Friday, March 5.

Defense is part of the group of vital organizations and functions to keep the Netherlands functioning. Therefore, Defense must be ready all the while to continue making a necessary contribution to society, as well as to ensure preparations for various missions.
