Twente Airport seeks firemen/-women

UPDATE: We already have enough firefighters!

We are only looking for someone who lives nearby and has the module 'Aircraft Firefighting'. If you meet these requirements and are available for a few hours a week, please contact Laurens Esveldt, harbor master of Twente Airport: info@twente-airport.nl, so we can invite you for an interview without any obligation.

Twente Airport is becoming increasingly busy with air traffic. This is good news, of course, but it also means that we need to have firefighters on standby more often and for longer.

To supplement our existing firefighting team, we are therefore looking for firemen and firewomen who are available for a number of hours per week (within a firefighting rotation).

We are looking for several individuals who:

  • have completed firefighter training and still meet the required qualifications
  • preferably have also completed the aircraft firefighting module
  • are available a number of hours per week, preferably also on weekends
  • are willing, if necessary, to take the additional training course 'aircraft firefighting

What do we offer?

  • First of all, a meeting to explain what we do and what is required
  • A unique workplace in the middle of Twente Airport (former military airbase Twenthe)
  • The possibility to work as a freelancer
  • On contract basis is also one of the possibilities
  • The possibility to follow the additional training 'aircraft firefighting

Are you or do you know a fireman/woman who likes it and has time to be available for a few hours a week to provide firefighting safety at our airport? Then please contact Daan Hoekstra, Operations Manager of Twente Airport: info@twente-airport.nl, so we can invite you to the informative meeting without any obligations.
