Aircraft End-of-Life Solutions (AELS) is the epitome of circular economy

Aircraft End-of-Life Solutions (AELS) is the epitome of circular economy. AELS disassembles aircraft from all over the world, after which the various parts are reused. An investment from Innovatiefonds Overijssel and Aalberts Investments has enabled AELS to spread its wings. Twente Airport will become the center of further growth for the company.

In its eleven years of existence, AELS has recycled more than fifty aircraft from small ones, such as a Fokker 50, to Boeing 747s. Thanks to funding from Oost NL from the Innovation Fund Overijssel and from Aalberts Investments, the company will be able to dismantle more and higher-quality aircraft at the Twente regional airport in the coming years. "We can now be bigger, better and faster," says Derk-Jan Heerden, director of AELS.
