Workshop on the use of drones for site security

Many large industrial sites, such as railway yards, airports and ports, are currently inadequately monitored. This can pose security risks.

Fortunately, several Dutch companies are actively developing solutions, including the use of (semi-)autonomous drones.

Last week, Twente Airport/Space53 hosted a workshop where companies could discuss the challenges. Companies such as LUGN and Nestfly demonstrated the possibilities for tackling this issue. This yielded interesting insights. The organisation is therefore determined to organise new editions of the event in the future.

So keep an eye on our website and social media channels.

As a test airport, Twente Airport offers the opportunity to try out new aviation initiatives, both manned and unmanned, in a controlled environment.
